NUDE MAKEUP TIPS

These are some expert tips for fresh, flawless makeup that look, well, like you´re not wearing makeup. You´ll look just like you do but even better!! It´s fresh and simple, you´ll look pretty because you´re simply boosting your natural beauty and what´s even better, it´ll never look as if you tried too hard.

(It´ll be our little secret)

Valentino Couture Fall 2013

1.      Clean your face skin of any previous makeup
Start cleaning your face with a specific face soap, it can be liquid or solid, like Savon Naturel VIÑALI, it cleans your skin leaving it clean and soft. Don´t ever use hand soap because its surfractants are too aggressive for skin.

2.      Tonify your skin
Use a small amount of tonifying lotion in a cotton pad, apply it in circular motion, it´ll help removing the remaining makeup or dirt and prepares the skin for the application of your treatments.

3.      Moisturize
Apply your moisturizing lotion using a small dab the size of a pea, a nice option is VIÑALI´s Soin Visage, it contains grape water instead of water, red grape extract and jojoba oil that provides this fantastic product with 10 % more antioxidant effect. Moisturizing gives you the freshness you need and prepares it for foundation.

4. Even out your skin tone
Take your finger or a sponge dab in the foundation, and dab it on your face, blending it until it looks like your skin tone. Be sure to go underneath your jaw line; if you stop at the edge of your face, there will be a clear line where the foundation ends, making it look like you’re wearing a mask.

5.      Primer for your eyes
This step is absolutely optional, if it´s correctly applied, your shadows will stay longer, apply a small amount of product in all the eye lid including the brow bone.

6.      Conceal any flaws
Use a concealer brush or your fingertips (the former is more sanitary) to dab concealer under your eyes. Start from the inside corner at the bridge of your nose and go to the opposite corner at your outer lash line. Blend the concealer in around the edges, so that there is not an obvious change in tone between your skin and the concealer.
Never rub the concealer in around your eyes, as the skin here is damaged very easily. Simply pat or dab the concealer with the tips of your finger or brush in order to blend it.
Work the concealer up on the inside of your nose if your eyes are deep-set. This area is often neglected by concealer application, and will leave you still looking sleepy.
IMAGE
Be sure to apply your concealer all the way to the very base of your lash line, directly under your waterline.

7.  Consider using eyeshadow shade
This is the step that will identify your make up as nude, you may need 3 matt tones of shade.

8.       Apply blush
Creme blush generally works better than powder because it gives you a dewy look and lasts longer. Using a champagne-tinted creme blush, rub a little on your ring finger and blend onto your cheekbones, Use bronzer, instead of blush, on cheeks, top of nose, and forehead. A sun-kissed glow is more natural than a pink one.

9.      Apply sheer nude lip color
Avoid using chalky lipsticks or shiny lip glosses, there´s a wide range of products you can use, try them to stay close to your natural lip color.

VIÑALI TIPS:
·         Try to go for a similar color with blush and lipstick. It will bring out your natural features.
·         Relax. Constantly checking a mirror, and fussing over your face can ruin a day. Smile, and have lots of confidence.
·         Don't over do the makeup! Remember that makeup is meant to enhance your natural features, not to cover them up.
·         Using natural makeup is healthier for your skin and can reduce blemishes. In fact, mineral foundation doesn't clog your pores and is actually good for your skin, so you may want to invest in a good brand.
·         Apply makeup in the light you will be in; for example, apply your makeup with a lot of light if you are going out on a sunny day, or if you are going clubbing use dimmer lights.
·         Get a trusted friend to tell you if you've gone overboard with the make-up
